Your City Blocks

by Landor & Fitch
Phil Rees, Design Director

New Yorkers are always thinking one step ahead - whether it's our next destination or our next task. We want to celebrate what makes this city special, the people and their stories.

People come from all over the world to be part of the creativity, vibrancy and glamour of Madison Avenue. But what truly makes this avenue so revered is the unique individuals and their stories that create the collective whole. Each person who returns reignites the magic of Madison Avenue.

As we return to reopen the iconic Madison Avenue, we hope to inspire a moment of pause and reflection on the strength of our people, and begin to look forward.

Phill’s experience runs across many facets of design, gaining extensive experience in retail experiences, branding, packaging design, and illustration. Having worked in London, Mumbai and New York he uses his global design experience and his 14 years of experience to bring an innovative approach to each brief. Being based in NYC allows Phill to source inspiration from galleries, design events and many flagship retail and pop-up experiences throughout the city.

He has worked many high-profile clients, some of which include the rebrand of Jaguar and Landrover, a global retail experience for Vodafone, helping Hilton define their brand’s future and more recently launching a category disruptor in BrandBox. Other notable clients include McLaren Automotive and Andaz hotels where he was tasked to rename and rebrand 3 of its flagship restaurants in its London Liverpool Street location. Beyond the luxury space Phill has worked on Coca-Cola, Max Brenner, Dell, Chevron,Tesco, and Under Armour. Graphic Design USA named Phill to its People To Watch list for 2020.
